FAMILY HISTORY SEARCHES
Glimpse of St Matthew's Register of Marriages 1841-1843>>>
In today’s society it seems more people than ever are
researching their family tree .
We at St Matthew’s will endeavour to assist you in your
quest for information about your ancestors.
Our
records date back to 1841. We have Baptism, Marriage, Confirmation
and some burial records.
Our records are not open for public viewing but office staff will carry out searches on your behalf.
In order to facilitate a successful family search, it is vital
that we have as much information as possible, but the following
details are imperative....
For Baptism Certificate - full name at time of Baptism, date
of Birth, father’s name and mother’s maiden name.
For Marriage Certificate - full names of both parties (bride’s
maiden name) date of Marriage Ceremony.
We
get a substantial number of requests per year with only vague information given to us; regrettably few of these searches
turn up the required information and take up valuable time
in searching through old record books and registers.
Therefore
due to the volume of requests and time limitation we can only
search two years either side of the dates provided. We only accept enquiries in writing.
As
you can appreciate searching takes some time. Nominal fee
applies.
